Most transport systems use movable parts made of plastic. After all, plastic is ‘as strong as iron’ and is mouldable into the most refined shapes. Plastic is just as impact-resistant as metal, but it doesn’t corrode. What’s more, plastic is more hygienic, absorbs noise, saves energy and eliminates the need for greasing in most applications.
