Es vereint akzeptable Kosten mit vortrefflicher chemischer Resistenz, geringem Gewicht und im allgemeinen guten mechanischen Eigenschaften. PP-Homopolymere haben eine Glas\u00fcbergangstemperatur von -10 \u00b0C und werden bei Temperaturen unter 0 \u00b0C br\u00fcchig. Copolymere, die das wichtigste Material f\u00fcr Komponenten von Transportsystemen darstellen, haben eine bessere Schlagfestigkeit bei Temperaturen von -15 bis -35 \u00b0C, zu Lasten einer geringeren H\u00e4rte und schlechterer thermischer Leistungen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PP hat eine extrem geringe Feuchtigkeitsabsorption von weniger als 0,1 % bei S\u00e4ttigung im Wasser. In Kombination mit dem ausgezeichneten Widerstand gegen Hydrolyse eignet sich das Material daher bestens f\u00fcr viele Anwendungen. PP hat eine hohe Best\u00e4ndigkeit gegen eine Vielfalt von Chemikalien, darunter S\u00e4uren, Alkohole, warmes Wasser und die meisten Reinigungsmittel. Das Material ist durchschnittlich resistent gegen aromatische und halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe. Die UV-Best\u00e4ndigkeit ist begrenzt.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Anwendungen, bei denen elektrische Entladung Probleme verursachen kann, verwendet KIK antistatische PP-Verbindungen auf Basis eines speziellen leitenden Kohlenstoffs. Durch die Zugabe von leitendem Kohlenstoff bekommen diese Materialien eine geringere Schlagfestigkeit.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Anwendungen, bei denen besondere Flexibilit\u00e4t gefordert ist, setzt KIK ein eigens hierf\u00fcr angefertigtes PP-Material ein, n\u00e4mlich PPK.
