Dank ausgezeichneter Resistenz gegen \u00d6le und Fette, thermischer Stabilit\u00e4t bis 140 \u00b0C und hoher Verschlei\u00dffestigkeit wird dieses Material in glasfaserverst\u00e4rkten Sorten vielf\u00e4ltig in der Automobilindustrie eingesetzt. Wegen der UV-Stabilit\u00e4t ist es auch f\u00fcr Exterieurteile wie T\u00fcrgriffe und Spiegelfassungen geeignet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die geringe Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme, die thermische Formbest\u00e4ndigkeit und ausgezeichnete F\u00e4rbbarkeit machen PBT denn auch f\u00fcr die Anwendung in elektronischen Komponenten geeignet.<\/p>\n<p>Die Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme von PBT ist mit 0,25 % bei 23 \u00b0C \/ 50 % rLF und 0,5 % bei S\u00e4ttigung im Wasser bei 23 \u00b0C au\u00dferordentlich niedrig. Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme hat keinen Einfluss auf das Aufma\u00df. Ein wichtiger Vorteil von PBT gegen\u00fcber Polyamiden ist die Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit der mechanischen Eigenschaften von der Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme. PBT ist resistent gegen die meisten L\u00f6sungsmittel, \u00d6le, Fette und halogenierte und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe. Dies gilt nicht f\u00fcr starke S\u00e4uren, alkalische Stoffe und hei\u00dfes Wasser. \u00dcber 60 \u00b0C beginnt die Hydrolyse und damit die hohe Zerbrechlichkeit des Materials.<\/p>\n<p>PBT ist best\u00e4ndig gegen Temperaturen bis 130 \u00b0C f\u00fcr l\u00e4ngere Zeitr\u00e4ume, kurzfristig sind 180 \u00b0C m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n<p>Verglichen mit den meisten anderen Thermoplasten ist die Resistenz gegen UV-Strahlung au\u00dferordentlich hoch. Dennoch empfiehlt sich f\u00fcr Anwendungen im Freien die Zugabe von aktivem schwarzem Kohlenstoff, um mechanische Degradation zu verhindern. Die Werte f\u00fcr Entflammbarkeit und Flammhemmung sind gering; durch die Anwendung spezieller Sorten kann dieses Problem umgangen werden. Glasfaserverst\u00e4rktes PBT ist gut formbest\u00e4ndig bis 130 \u00b0C und best\u00e4ndig gegen Erm\u00fcdung.
